To assemble rankings, the publishers of Law & Politics survey lawyers for nominations of the best attorneys based upon personal observations. A Law & Politics research team then reviews potential candidates’ credentials and assigns points based on specific criteria. A blue ribbon panel from each practice area then surveys the pool of nominees, and the resulting list is submitted to Law & Politics for final selection. No more than 5 percent of lawyers in the state are named to the list.
